One Two Three ...Goals, That's What It takes?

From day to day as life happens, it is nothing strange to encounter same subject discussed and debated over and over so is growth. Similarly, it is common to find people searching for growth at both personal and professional levels relentlessly and, that's worthwhile.

Searching for growth has challenges just like making friends, getting hired, and keeping healthy are somewhat essentials in ascertaining that growth is achieved of course, from one to various perspectives. To define growth, one has to look at what interests and paths are to be put together for them to be realised. This can be joining a health practitioners community after getting health based college degree just as, becoming a music artist requires one for example to get signed to a music label after presenting a set of produced and published samples of music records to qualify before they can set on course to further processing to quality releases, concerts, and interviews that get them to public eyes for better chances in their career. This is just a single perspective of what we've witnessed around the world for this specific case.

Searching for growth turned out to be a goal setting endeavour for numerous individuals and institutions. Before all else please, try this. Friends came together someday along summer set off to a great weekend spend and it just so happen that they get to express themselves over growth related subject - you know how it goes, 'I want to settle. I want to get credit, build a house, and generate revenues by establishing an outstanding business construct. I too want the same but challenges are obvious.' kind of talk just slipped in between their weekend mainstay. I get the chance to benefit from their conversation by the balcony of my room while abroad trying to get a couple of courses to grow as well. Coincidence? Certainly, a great one! Off this conversation, what might interest you the most is when the question 'What types of goals are there?' after their conversation became centered around it takes one two three goals to grow. Well, the answer from their conversation might be even rather worthwhile as they came to agree that in as much as it takes one two three goals and actualisation of these goals, it is equally relevant to classify these goals into four categories: stepping stone goals, short-term goals, long-term goals, and lifetime goals. This obviously got my attention and motivated me to share this in another conversation with close friends at the time.

Having a closer look on what it got me to go abroad for a certificate, it was impossible to overlook the importance of goal setting. Just as when it happened someday over the same summer, we were questioned over 'what do you think it takes to establish a personal or professional brand? Of our youth, this certainly is a consistent and constant challenge as we seek growth from all avenues where our interests lie. To me, it was clear that our conversation was one of those that do not end over a single chat and few remarks rather, we all agreed that it was a relevant conversation that we can discuss and debate over and over depending on differing perspectives with due consideration to whatever direction we choose to go all the way in a lifetime that is to say, whether we are interested in sport, journalism, leadership, management, politics, entrepreneurship, arts and science among many other avenues we relate to. Yet, to date, 'one two three goals ... that's what it takes?' turns out to be one of those statements that gets us to think about who we can be, what we can make and, how we can be realised - as always, we are eager to know what's your perspective on growth and of course, who doesn't want to grow?
